To promote education and empowerment, especially in the Romani community. To close education and employment gaps, fostering success, personal development and the overcoming of prejudice.
An association with a Romani soul
Dosta means «enough!» in Caló, the language of the Spanish Roma. We are an association based in Málaga, committed to closing the education gap in the Romani community and other vulnerable communities. We were born as a cry against resignation and school dropout, to challenge stereotypes and open up new opportunities.
Student number zero
Dosta was founded in Málaga in 2019, rooted in the personal experience of its president, Vanessa Jiménez. She went to university after years outside the education system: she was «student number zero».
Her journey became the association's mirror model: if she could do it, other Romani women can too. We started with two students; today we support dozens of women and young people every year on their way to secondary school, university and employment.
