Education that opens doors

Since 2019 we have been helping the Romani community finish secondary school, reach university and find work. Every year, dozens of people graduate with Dosta.

Our mission

Dosta means «enough!» in Caló. Enough of school dropout. Enough of stereotypes. Enough of barriers. Every Romani person has the right to choose their own future.

We were born as a cry against school dropout and stereotypes. Only 3 in 10 Romani people in Spain complete compulsory secondary education, and fewer than 2% reach university. Vanessa Jiménez, our president, was «student number zero»: she reached university after years outside the education system. In 2019 she founded Dosta so that other Romani people can follow the same path.
